Discovering my purpose literally almost happened overnight. As a young adult at 18 years old, I started my career in healthcare quite early after obtaining my CNA license while still in high school. Upon graduation, I began working in long term care facilities, hospital settings and eventually home care. During this time I began building skills along the way. From the moment I began working with seniors, something about it felt like the right fit for me. It wasn’t just a job, but it became a passion. As I cared for them, advocated for their needs, and humbly listened to their amazing life stories, I found the connection I’d been looking for. 

It was actually my mom who fully recognized my gift and encouraged me to continue working with seniors. Well, I followed her advice and nearly 10 years later, I became the proud and dedicated found and Agency Director of my very own home care agency, Graceful Homecare. I guess it’s true what they say, “Mother knows best!” We’re now approaching our 7 year business anniversary! 

When I decided to launch my home care business, I needed 2 things: An incredible name, skilled and dependable staff. Well, the name was easy; Graceful isn’t just my vision of healthy aging, its my middle name! I knew I wanted to bring my full self to my business, and lending my name felt like the perfect way to do just that. Then, because I take my work so seriously, I’ve made it my mission to seek out and train staff who are equally as passionate as I am about working with seniors. My care team includes the kinds of professionals I would trust to care for my own aging parent.
